Church and Community Links
Our Church is 'St Peter and St Paul' in Alconbury village
We are regular visitors to our church. At the start of the academic year, in October we hold our Harvest Festival in our church. In December, we have our popular ‘Christingle’. At Easter, we hold our Easter service and then in July we say goodbye to our Year Six children with our very special leavers’ service. Children also visit as part of geography, history and art lessons. We also hold ‘prayer spaces’ for each class with volunteers from the church.

Our vicar is Reverend Fiona. She leads Collective Worship at school.

Community Links
As part of our Christian Vision and teaching children how to live we believe firmly in the power of community links where our school is an active part of the whole community. We work closely with our Pre School and Secondary school and have links with other community groups such as ‘The Thursday Club’ for the more senior citizens of the villages, the village choir sings in our hall and our Year Six children sing carols at our local residential home for the elderly, every Christmas. Through our parent teacher association ‘FACES’ we also hold community events which are open to everyone. This includes our Macmillan coffee morning, summer fete and Christmas Shopping evening.
